    Description

    Northwest Coast
    Tlingit
    Shaman's Feast Bowl
    C. 1900
    14 1/2"
Large Northwest Coast double-headed raven feast bowl from the Tlingit tribe in Southern Alaska. Carved cedar inlaid with abalone and bone; it was made for the tourist trade in the early 20th century. One of the best examples from this period.
The bowl is in excellent condition and only missing one piece of bone. I've seen several frogs and seals bowl with a single head but not many double headed bowls.
